Smart Office, LLC has occurred additional domain names. Now domain names MyForumServer.com (.net,.org) and DiscussionNow.com (.net, .org) are pointing to Timur.Com. We hope that this will make our forum server more discoverable by the people looking for various forums. Our forum server now responds to more that one domain name and we foresee more changes related to this fact.

Navigation Buttons

Please note that we have relocated all main navigation buttons to the top of the screen. Users of our system, especially moderators, will no longer see forum control buttons at the bottom of the screen. Buttons on the left side of the menu bar have general, all user purpose, while buttons on the right side are more user specific. Set of available buttons changes from forum to forum, depending on the user rights within selected section.

It came to our attention that some of the functionality of our web site is not completely supported by the Firefox browser. We will work on resolution of this issue. Mean time if you are experiencing any malfunctions with our forum engine, please switch to Internet Explorer browser.
Please always let us know about any technical troubles that you experience with our web site. Our goal is to make our forum services perfect, and we rely on input from our users to make this happen.

Did you know that after you register your forum with TIMUR.COM, you can upload custom forum logo image? This logo will replace default TIMUR.COM logo that appears at the top of the page. To do this, you need to click Edit Forum button/link. There you will see Forum Logo Image section with Change Logo option. If you follow this option/ link, you will see screen where you can upload your image and provide short text that will be displayed while mouse pointer is suspended above your logo. Mandatory image size is 300x40 pixels, otherwise server will not take your logo. Image must be in GIF or JPG format.

More options in user profile

We have updated our system software. Now, when editing their profiles, users can provide more information about themselves. In addition to previously existing options, users now can specify their first and last names as well as name of the company that they work for.
When first and last names are specified, they are used for display purposes when showing forums, threads and messages. If user specifies his/her company, then this information is displayed under the user’s name when displaying messages/posts.
These new options appear to be useful to our corporate customers. We recommend them to be used only for closed/private forums. For the privacy sake it is wise to have a separate user name for participation in our open forums.

Some of our users say that while having great capabilities, our forums feel a bit simplistic in their presentation. We have to admin that while building this site, our developers focused more on the performance aspects of the forum engine. Now, it is probably a good time to add some sophistication to our forums. We are working on alternative color schemes and control layouts. We will also try to introduce more graphical features to the presentation of our forums. We are wide open for suggestions from our users. Please feel free to offer your ideas on how to improve our interface by posting your messages in the TIMUR.COM Support forum.
